More 20mph coming to Tunbridge Wells:
*** WE NEED YOUR HELP ***
To help make 20mph a success in Tunbridge Wells, we NEED MORE VOLUNTEERS for our Community Speedwatch group to help Kent Police in reducing excessive speeds on local roads. We monitor speeds at the roadside to improve drivers’ understanding of the risks from speeding, reduce collisions and to improve the quality of life for local communities.
Training and equipment is given at no cost. All we need is as much or as little of your time as you can spare.
Please get in contact to find out more.
We already have 20mph on 50 streets in St. John's, the town centre and near Claremont. Now, a further 20 streets are changing to 20mph in St. James's to the north of Camden Road and in Sherwood, to the south of High Brooms station. This is good news, but there is still much to do.
20's Plenty is working with KCC & Tunbridge Wells BC to expand to more areas - Culverden, Banner Farm and Broadwater are next on the list. 20's Plentyy for Tunbridge Wells believes that a simpler approach would be to roll out 20mph across all residential strets in the town.
